Vocational education

Caboolture Special School’s vocational technical education (VTE)
program offers a wide variety of educational opportunities through The Orange Project—creating esteemed partnerships.

Students are developing their vocational, technical, literacy, numeracy, social and safety skills in a diverse range of contexts.

In-school VTE structured workplace learning

The school’s VTE program has six sub-programs: horticulture, hospitality, recycling, post school options, community organisation and emergency service. These VTE sub-programs provide a structure for a diverse and meaningful workplace learning environment.

The in-school VTE structured workplace learning includes:

  • Hospitality program: tuckshop, catering, special events, soup kitchen.
  • Recycling program: paper shredding, can crushing, bicycle repair.
