Our school was first opened in 1980 with an enrolment of 50 students and grew from the Special Education Unit formerly at the Caboolture State School. It was built to cater for students with special needs, who required smaller class sizes and practical "Learn by doing" techniques.
Today we have grown to almost 150 students, offering year levels from 1 - 12 for both male and female students.
Caboolture Special School staff endeavour to achieve the best educational outcomes for every student, so that they active citizens in a learning society - the smart state.
Children exiting Caboolture Special School will have been provided with the opportunity to :
- Understand the process of learning and applying their preferred learning style. - Develop basic literacy and numeracy skills. - Acquire the skills needed for understanding and applying new knowledge and technology. - Accept responsibility for their learning and behaviour.
Caboolture Special School would like to take this opportunity to welcome new families and students to our school and trust you may get to know us better throughout the pages of our website.
